As Cam Newton gives 100% effort on the field, he’s also eager to show similar effort in the community. On November 20, 2017, over 800 children from local youth organizations experienced a night they will always remember. The Cam Newton Foundation, along with Second Harvest Food Bank, hosted the 5th annual Cam’s Thanksgiving Jam. The event was held at Topgolf Charlotte. All of the guests enjoyed a memorable night of food, fun, and entertainment!

The night began as kids were greeted with cheering and a tunnel of high-fives. All of the children enjoyed hitting a few golf balls as their excitement grew to see Cam. After he was introduced, guests were welcomed to a delicious, traditional Thanksgiving meal. Everyone was pleased to experience an amazing holiday celebration filled with activities and entertainment such as face painting, balloon artists, games, a live DJ, dancing, and of course, golf! As the night came to an end, kids couldn’t help but to keep dancing as they collected bags of Thanksgiving food to bring home and share with their families.

Cam was on hand for every part of the event. He was filled with energy and excitement as he visited with his young fans, served food, and even hit a few golf balls himself. There was great enthusiasm throughout the night, and memories were made that will be kept forever.

A special thanks to Second Harvest Food Bank and Topgolf Charlotte for helping to make this event spectacular.
