On the morning of Friday, April 5, Cam Newton traveled to East Burke High School where nearly 1,000 fourth-graders eagerly awaited his arrival. Cam was a special, surprise guest for an assembly hosted by the Cam Newton Foundation, Atrium Health and Carolina Panthers. The focus of the event was Atrium’s “5210 League,” which encourages children to lead healthy and active lives.

The 5210 program mantra is:  five daily servings of fruits/veggies, no more than two hours of screen time, at least one hour of physical activity and zero sugary drinks.

Cam led the students in different physical activities, including a relay race, student dance contests and trivia.
