On Friday, April 12, the Cam Newton Foundation partnered with Atrium Health for a Day of Service across the city of Charlotte.
The first stop was Renaissance West STEAM Academy, a school that educates more than 400 students -- from kindergarten through 8th grade. Cam surprised 3rd, 4th and 5th graders as a “guest coach” in a Teachers vs. Students basketball game. Volunteers from Atrium Health served as coaches, referees and cheerleaders.
The second stop of the day was Crisis Assistance Ministry – Charlotte’s advocate for people in financial crisis, helping them move toward self-sufficiency. Cam surprised working volunteers with a helping hand by sorting clothes and other personal items.
The final stop of the day was Levine Children’s Hospital. Cam played games and interacted with patients and their families.
Thank you to Atrium Health for including the Cam Newton Foundation in this amazing day of service.
